5 Weeks Today

My cramping has almost completely subsided these past few days thankfully! But I had a pinch in my back around my spine yesterday that made my back hurt all day, so I had to take a couple Tylenol. Other than that I have felt great!

Just to satisfy myself, and rid any doubts (though there is no reason for them) I took another hpt today. This time the test turned positive the second it got wet and both lines were completely dark! Woo hoo!! This is a wonderful feeling!

Yesterday I called and got my first appt with my midwife Debbie Crowder. I seen her with the last pg and m/c and I really really like her! So July 7th at 3:30p I will see her. I am going to ask for a u/s just to releive my worries since the past m/c, and I hope she will send me for one.

This friday I have to see my regular doctor for a blood test, the midwife has to have proof of pg before she can see me, and my insurance won't pay for her to do it. I don't understand it myself but that is how it will work.

I am going to the library today to get some books on pregnancy. I think I read every one that was out when I was pg with Emira. I know I have read What To Expect at least 3-4 times LOL. But I LOVE to read while I'm pregnant - magazines, books, pamphets - all of them cover to cover! It's just a thing for me LOL.

I joined a couple pg e-groups and have been chatting away. February-2007-Babies and March07Mommies. Also I found out my friends CJ and Julie are pregnant also and are due in Feb.

Finally!! Its Positive!!!

An HPT that is! After months of ttc after mc I took a test today and here is what it showed:

Actually I was only a couple days late this time and usually I go 4 or 5 but something told me this was the time. My breasts are so sore and I was so moody...I really was MEAN to ppl LOL. I still have some mild cramping which is supposedly normal but after having a miscarriage it keeps me on my stress toes!

We have decided not to tell family and friends here for a few weeks just in case. Emira does know though and she is pretty excited. Shane and I are too ofcourse! We are praying for a miracle this time, may God bless us with a healthy baby!

Your Pregnancy: 4 Weeks (BabyCenter)
How your baby's growing: This week marks the beginning of the embryonic period. From now until ten weeks, all of your baby's organs will begin to develop and function. As a result, this is the time when she'll be the most vulnerable to anything that might interfere with her development.

Right now your baby is an embryo consisting of two layers: the epiblast and the hypoblast, from which all her organs and body parts will develop. The primitive placenta is also made up of two layers at this point. Its cells are tunneling into the lining of your uterus, creating spaces for your blood to flow into so that the developed placenta can provide nutrients and oxygen to your growing baby when it starts to function at the end of this week.

Also present now are the amniotic sac that will house your baby, the amniotic fluid that will cushion her as she grows, and the yolk sac that produces your baby's red blood cells and helps deliver nutrients to her until the placenta is ready to take over this duty.
