I will never be a minivan mom!
I know I have said that for years and years! And I meant it too! I said I would get a super duper suv first LOL. But with the gas prices the way they are and not to mention my big suv payment, we decided we could save quite a bit of money if we did buy a minivan. So we did.

We got an 06 Caravan on Saturday for 9 grand and it's a pretty sweet ride for the price. The girls love it! They are just so excited to ride anywhere in it and even hubby likes to drive it (he hated driving the Rodeo- he says it was designed for short ppl). So now we are not only saving on gas but also over $100 a month on the payment. BTW we didn't trade in the Rodeo, we gave it to my dad to take over payments so he would have 4wd in the winter.

And because we were away buying the van I missed NSD!! I did get some good freebies and caught a few great sales. But I didn't get the chance to give away any freebies myself. I did have sale at my store 40%off and that is through today so you still have time to pick up these new additions by Sassy and myself!

Updates
Well my goodness! I haven't been over here in forever! Please accept my apologies for not posting some news here lately :)

We are pregnant!! Yep expecting a new little turd sometime in November!! We are very excited to be able to get pregnant this soon after Ainsley has finished nursing. I have started posting at the Jelly Bean Tales blog again so check there for baby updates.

We have finished our homeschool testing! I think Emira did rather well and I am very proud of her! This was her first year homeschooling and her first time taking the Iowa test. There were quite a few homeschoolers testing at our church. They tested for 3 days and on the 3rd day they had a pizza party after testing. We are still not finished with our school year yet and we will probably work some on through summer until we start 3rd grade math in Aug.

I did have a sinus infection and was sick last weekend and in the beginning of the week. But as soon as I was over that, I twisted my back! We were watching the younger children while the older children were testing, and I jumped up from sitting on the concrete floor. Not good! Boy did it ever hurt, but not as bad as it does at night. I can hardly roll over in bed at night. I can take only tylenol and it really doesn't help much. Thankfully, I am feeling better some this eve so I am able to get back online and take care of some business and updates.

Tomorrow we are heading down to Shane's dad's house for the day, after church. And since we will be gone til Monday, I decided to have a big sale! Lots of new stuff in the shoppe as well as some commercial use products that are on sale as well!

Happy Easter!
He Is Risen!!

I hope you enjoy this week's FREE mini kit pefect for your Easter layouts! Included is 2 papers, 6 eggs, 2 ribbons, 1 swirl, 1 border, 1 journal bracket and 1 matching word art.

Also there is a bonus printable sheet to make your very own set of Ressurection Eggs! Just grab an old egg carton and 12 plastic eggs. Cut out the circles, place one in each egg, and number the eggs accordingly. What a great way to teach your child what Easter really means!

I'm back!
We had a great time in GA! Rather relaxing and I enjoyed visiting my mom and grandma. We did some shopping and I got a couple new outfits and some craft supplies. The girls got lots of new spring outfits and some shoes. We were going to go to the beach but my 4yr old step-nephew scratched Ainsley in her eye and it was really sensitive to light so we stayed inside the whole day we planned to go.

I have to say I was glad to be back home though, even though it was so nice down there and here we had snow!
Here is a photo we took leaving out in GA:

And here is one when we arrived back home:

Here is Emira and her cousin Buddy playing in the yard puddles! It rained so heavily the first day we got there and it flooded the yard.

Here is Ainsley with her cousin Dominick.

And one with the girls and their Great-Grandma - my hero and my best friend! Love you grandma!

Also I got all my hair chopped off! I donated it to Locks of Love. I'll take a pic and post it soon. Today I am adding highlights to get my blonde back. Emira and I had used some of the temp hair color that is supposed to last through 28 shampoos or something...wrong! It never came out, probably because we are blondes duh! LOL So now I have this brassy reddish brown color with blonde roots - um yeah not pretty!

My friend Susan is having a CT Call so I thought I would post and let you all know about it. She is such a great person, you will love working with her!

I applied to 3 CT apps from some of my fave designers hoping to get at least one position! I NEVER expected to get all 3! WOW how blessed am I! So be looking for some new layouts from me using these wonderful ladies' designs!

AND

AND One More!

Here is a layout I created for Sherry Ferguson:

Shabby Sugar kit by Sherry Ferguson Designs available at GottaPixel.net
Template is Playing With Paper 3 by Janet Phillips available at ScrapbookGraphics.com
Fonts are Enchanted Prairie Dog and Bleeding Cowboys

In other non-scrapping news, I filed our taxes last night. I use the free edition of Turbo Tax online and it was super easy! Looks like we will be getting back a pretty significant return! Good thing because we HAVE to get our AC fixed before summer! And our do Maddie has to have her vet visit and surgery. We also have quite a bit of home improvements to do as well as my vehicle work. I think we will be fine! God is so good to us!

This week we are gearing up for Ainsley's first birthday party on Thursday as well as our first day of Co-Op for homeschool. Then Friday morning we are off to visit my mom and Gram in south GA. We will be gone for a week and will come home on the following Wed.

So needless to say, we are busy beavers! And I won't be around too much, but if you need me you can email me. I will try to check in when I can but I don't know how often I will have net access in Ga. I am taking my laptop and plan to design some new kits while I'm there. I'm hoping the warm air and the beach will give me some new perspective and inspiration!
